Musician
Silver Godling

I release concept albums under the name Silver Godling, that pull from my classical roots as well as explore experimental music, chamber pop, dark pop, and electronic music, with a strong emphasis on the piano. I have released four full length albums and two EPs, which you can hear on Bandcamp or wherever you like to stream your music. Two albums released on vinyl are accompanied by photographic collaborations: the Ravel collaboration with Teddie Taylor, and the Witness, Unweave collaboration with Craig Mulcahy. I have a page dedicated to my release Jenni, a mostly piano album dedicated to my late sister. If you were one of the subscribers to the word and music exploration project from December 2021 through December 2022, you have access to the writings and music on this page.

Collaborator
Thou’s Inconsolable (2018). This is a photo of me and my late sister when we were kids.

I compose, arrange, and collaborate with bands and individual artists under my given name, Emily McWilliams, including with Eric Klerks, Troy Bennett’s Graveyard Lips, The Hirs Collective, Sunrot, and an ongoing, longstanding collaborative relationship with Thou since 2007*. In 2018 and 2019, I toured with MJ Guider’s live band. In 2022, I released a solo improvisational piano album, Form in Flow, with UK label The Crystal Cabinet.
